I walk into the city of future called the Pulse City. Everything feels alive. Here, humans and animals do not work so much. Most of the work is done by robots. There are robots and machines for all kinds of work. Automatic cars scuttle and hum, and robots are lifting steel pipes to giant borders. The city is covered with skyscrapers, beating the height of once tallest building, Burj Khalifa.
Flying cars drift above the sky now. The people that use roads are known as poor. There are many screens on which advertisements and weather updates are being shown.
Police is replaced with drones, skateboards are replaced by hoverboards. Everything is super efficient, and almost unbelievable.
As I explore the city, everything around me feels awake.

Robots move through the streets, completing tasks with perfect speed. Some clean the sidewalks, some deliver food, and others help people find their way. The trees of the city have holographs on them and tell what their age is and what they produce.
The city shines with neon ambience. It is so shocking to see a police-bot roll after a burglar and catch him, handcuff him, and take him on a hover scooty.

Just then, the buzzing sound of a whisper grew louder, making me realise I was only imagining everything. My mommy’s voice was calling my name to help her set the table for lunch.
Suddenly, my mind got blurred and shifted to the reality where no robot is going to set the table for us. The speed of the charging fan beside me drops. There was still an hour left before the electricity would come.
I lazyly walk to the kitchen. Through the window I don’t see flying cars, but a broken street. I take a deep breath in the polluted city called the City of Light, with no electricity, no gas, and no running water. I just sigh and hope to teleport myself into the futuristic city quickly, and stay there forever.
