I tried a fun Science experiment using glasses and waters.
I took five glasses, and filled them with different amount of water. Then, I gently tap glass with spoon.
Guess what happened?
Each glass made a different Sound… some high & some low.
Do you know why?
When you tap the glass, the sound travels through the water. The more water in the glass, the lower the sound. The less water in the glass, the higher the sound. That’s because water slows down the vibration that makes sound.
You can try this experiment too! Just grab some glasses, water, and a spoon, and explore how sound changes with each tap!
